Hey guys, how are the miles lately?
I'm almost a month out from finishing my school and am still looking at companies. -
I've been driving for them for just over 2 years and I average 2500 miles per week...sometimes more, sometimes less but that is my average.
Hope that helps....

Got a Pre hire from KLLM today, and am weighing out which to choose (KLLM or Central) read this whole thread... and I have to say...thanks for the info guys! (and gals if it applies)
gotta say... Newbie... you a trainer? lol.... I might be in orientation this next Monday! (worried about getting one of those "pric" trainers)...lol.
Haulin.... you havent posted in awhile... how you been doing? would you do KLLM again if you had it to do all over again?charlie's angel Thanks this. -
I have a buddy who did six months with Central and I have two friends who used to work for KLLM (until this last December) one for 2 years I think, and the other for almost 15 years. KLLM was by far the better company between the two. Of course, I have not worked there, so this is only second hand info so take it for what it's worth.
Best thing is to get your year in and then figure out what you want and find a company that offers that. What may be good for most people you run into may not be what you're looking for. It takes a while to figure it out though, so just spend your first year learning about all areas of trucking. Talk to as many different drivers pulling different things from tanker, to flatbed, to container, to... My favorite is tanker, while I have one buddy who will only do reefer, another flats, and another dry van. Its just "to each his own."
Good luck to you which ever route you take and DON'T LEASE A TRUCK until you have a couple of years under your belt...if at all. It seems that all the companies are really pushing the lease "deal" for about the past year.
