Maintenance on a trailer is small compared to the extra $10-$15k you could earn. Now I wouldn't buy one in the first year going in. You may learn of a good D&H location near your house and run that. -
This is just a quick FYI with regards to owning a trailer. Last week, I did 2 loads, one from Brunswick, Ga. to Dallas, and a return load from Tyler, Tx. to Pompano Beach, fl. If I had my own trailer, the 2 loads would have paid me an additional $365.24 for the week. If I divide that by the billed miles for the two loads, it comes to an additional $.16 per mile. Of course, I just divided it by the loaded miles. If I add my deadhead miles, it comes to $.15 per mile, but there was little deadhead between the two loads.
I am actively searching for a trailer to buy that I can afford. As soon as I find one, I'm buying it.
I hope this helps a little in your figures. -

Nik is good people. If he's got a trailer for sale, I'd seriously consider it.

Thanks. I just got home and saw your posts. I PM'd him to ask about the trailer. Hopefully, he'll get back in touch with me soon.
