If you get into specialized and gather some contacts, there is a chance you might be able to pull something like that. Here is a list of my no go states: w. KS, w. TX, MT, ID, WY, UT, NM, ND, SD, CO, NE, W. IA, OR, WA. I drop partials in all of them but non are my final destination... Unless load pays really but really good that no deadhead will damage my pocket then I have no problem going to them. It would be wise to get a CARB compliant truck. The least thing you need out here is barriers. Specially if you intend to run W only.Stoney7 and dogcatcher Thank this. -

Anyone could tell me how that load securement class go? I think I might of asked this before but I can't find it, I'm really thinking about making the jump over to the platform side. I just have trouble with ratchet binders & 8 foot tarps with the back flapping up. Also re rolling my tarps. If i could get help on these things then I'll probably make the jump.

Securement class will not help you with these issues. It mostly deals with rules and regulations. My suggestion is to talk to other platform operators you see at a truckstop and I am sure you can get the advise you seek.
What problem do you have with ratchet binders??? Youtube might have a video to teach you how to roll your tarps up properly. -
They kept getting loose for some unknown reason. Every time I turned around they were loose. Even the ones hanging up on the headache rack was getting loose.

Ok first it depends on the type of tarp you have for rolling them up but most are rectangular with a flap lay it out flat webbing up pull the flap till its all on top fold one side to middle grab the folded side take it to meet the edge of first fold then do the same for other side then fold one side onto the other grab the edge without the flap and walk it about 5 ft from the end go back to new flod start rolling.
The binders wrap excessive chain around handle. If your tighting down tight enough should not come undone but if so might try to use a bungee to hold on place. Biggest mistake though is not working all the links out as and as they bounce it allows a link to slip which will cause it to be loose. Stop after 30 to 50 miles to retighten thats the name of the game secure check drive check drive check. Depending on load I may check mine 4 or 5 times on a 300 mile trip once after 30miles and at least every time I stop or 100 miles.
