I'm an independent and I haul for Landstar all the time. I just counted and I've done 36 loads this year for them. Not sure where your getting those .94cpm rates. I pull a flatbed and get at least $2.00 on long runs. I can see .94 if your in El Paso, TX but to make a blanket statement like you have is wrong!!!

I just pulled a LS load from IL to OK for $2.30 a mile. There are also many LS loads out of here for more then $2.00 a mile.

hard for me to believe all they have is cheap freight.. I think youre seeing the left over and double brokered stuff some of the agencies love to try to book...

Where are you now? What state and town? Van or flatbed or what? I'll do a search on ITS and see what it says

Probably depends on the agency. I had some real good shorter flatbed loads with them over the summer and just kept booking the next one over the phone before I was done. They also have no shortage of garbage like the lumber they always have out of MA for $1.10/mile and he'll even throw another $100 on top to try to wow you over. Somehow they get covered though. They are hit or miss like most of them.
