thats not what ls told me by several agents, im setup under a carrier/broker and the rate we supposed to get should be higher than a bco because its all on us, fuel ins plates everything so i have to agree there, id like to see anything you got showing ls with rates that high.

Look I don't have time to be lying and telling stories man. Look at this pic, came in earlier, AMONGST many many more. 8k pounds legal load going to Fontana
My guess is their telling y'all whatever to get the freight covered. I don't know. But I get stuff like this in all day, even as winter sets in.blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
It's all business. If the can get it moved for cheaper outside LS they will. There's different sets of rules they got to follow for BCOs, then with approved carriers. ;;; Now the van freight is pretty garbage in my opinion, that's why I'm moving over to open deck after I save a little more. But I got this load alert up and been watching it for months.

Why would a broker voluntarily give you more money? If he can get you to haul $5 per mile freight for $2 he's going to sell it to you for $2. It doesn't matter if it's CHRW, LS, Mercer or whoever. It sounds like you don't know the rules of the game your playing.

This deadhorse has been beaten many times. More often than not the broker side is the cheap stuff and they win a little more on some of it. But not always. Come crunch time looking for trucks from any source LS agents will cry for mercy same as anyone else. A lot of that stuff hits alerts inside and outside at the same instant. A dozen loads moving out on 10 different trucks outside and BCO rates may be about the same or all over the place. Some o/o twist arms when they know they can and some don't. Maybe you as a BCO make them play it that way (twisting their arm)? Or maybe you are the one who gets played? Individual results, may vary.....

Theres always an advantage to being independant,in a certain day landstar may have more trucks than freight but some other broker needs a truck really bad thats when a smart o/o gets the big money.
