Riverside Transport Lease Purchase?

I agree with the take your time, I want to address the difference in pay for the o/o and the L/O. I too do not understand why there is such a big difference in the mileage pay except for the load risks are much lower. I look at it this way, leasing a truck is a 100% right off on every thing until the lease is paid. You don't have to try averaging over a certain number of years and then after that play the wright off game. Theres pro's and con's on both side of that fence. I have a very good friend that has leased his truck on to Land Star and has done very well he has then moved on to Schneider and seams to like it there as well. While leasing a truck as you know you more or less have a built in broker which is nice because you don't have to worry about finding that next load, (done that did that) you still as you know are running a business and you manage that business. I see nothing wrong with leasing, I have always made a good check and have enjoyed all the writes offs that come with it.

 

when i plug in those figures on my spreadsheet
the big difference i see is the maintence pkg money
you would have to be clear exactly what that covers
it looks to me like you are really working for the fsc
which being variable will affect your pay

 

Yes, the variable will be the maint package. I'm really at a bridge there, the way
that has been explained to me is that .075 per mile is a combination
bumper to pumper coverage on ALL maint that is required. Now this being
said the .075 is along with the manufactures warranties . What I don't like
and I wrestle with is it is a year to year thing you have to use it or
lose it. That in it self is a negative in my book, but that's really the only
thing that has jumped up at my there is a ballon at end of lease but to
ensure that is covered a driver puts $100 per week in savings acct set aside
for that purpose.

 

you know the totals all look better then trans am but by the time line by line
the bottom line is not much different
if you go in the negative on your maintenence account at trans am they dbl the rate of deductions till they are caught back up
the devil is in the details obviously
walk away lease is fine as long as you know your walking out on all money reserved in each of those accounts

 

So you think RTI's lease is better than ACT's? I have taken calls from 4-5 guys from RTI and they all said that ACT sounded better. They also don't make as big of checks as we do. One guy had been there 3 years and his biggest check ever was $1400. My biggest check ever in 16 months at ACT is 4 times that amount. Yes that includes money from recruiting but even before I had ever recruited a single guy I had a few checks right around $3,000.

Yeah I know but I was talking to the guy who's post I quoted who said he was lucky Tenn did not go to ACT but the same guy is looking to go to RTI.

 

Ok, the truth comes out. You. Are a recruiter for act talking
blown out numbers try to recruit on a RTI tread in an open forum, kudos to you and I hope you do well. What I do know is that RTI payments on a new truck is less that ACT paents on a used truck. Oh act dosent have ant warranties or if they do it's for the remainder of warrant left on truck. Vance was my dispatcher and I really don't believe ive ever meat a bigger liar than him. But your a recruiter over there which has been hand chosen to be ACT voice out here on the road. And yes lease to lease I believe RTI wins hands down. The rest is academic . And by the way you probably could recruit more people if you weren't so ages dive. And I would be willing to bet you have never seen that large of a settlement from ACT as a lease driver, anyone with a brain can do that simple math and they would know that was a lie... But then you are a recruiter

 

I'll say this when you do the math ( no recruits ) and do a side by side comparison in a 50% loaded 50% empty comparison the results are

ACT 0.95
RTI 0.98

Thats just raw numbers So I guess it depends on who is gonna get you more miles ? I've heard plenty of ACT guys say that they sit and get allot more 1600-1800 mile weeks than the 2200-2500 on RTI I haven't heard much I do live close to one of their terminals and spoke to a guy once ( a lease guy ) it was probably a year ago and he told me he had no problem getting 2700 a week in miles and the lease works in a way that if your at home the lease payments don't add up on you or put you in the negative I don't much about that but Lear program but it does seem better than some I've seen . But I got my own truck so Im just giving a outside look
