Just looking for all the info I can get on their IC program. Such as avg. rate of haul, any fuel discounts? Type of truck available? Average fixed cost per week. Any information would be great.:yes2557:

Head over to the Schneider sub forum. Lots of good threads (dfo's company to ic, sadwar's ic choice on the west coast and north by northeast). Once you've read those and have more specific a lquestions one of the guys d will get you squared away.

At the moment fuel discount is .40 off the cash price at Pilot/Flying J
New trucks are FreightShakers and Kenworths and the truck itself is in the $700s
    I have a new Kenworth and it's $750 a week.
As far the rest goes it's up to you... if you want their insurance or not etc etc

As far as rates go.. the possibilities are endless. However you are picking your own freight off a load board and are paid on %

I can give you a few example of recent weeks
This is what the load board says.. the loaded miles and rate per load mile. My actual miles I get to in the end.

Aurora, Il to New Berlin, Wi 107 miles $4.77
Milwaukee, WI to Champaign, IL 221 miles $2.32
Frankfort, In to Evensville, In 195 miles $2.49
Also did a load out near Louisville going 24 miles that paid over $500.
Fairdale, Ky to Findlay, Oh 267 miles $1.88
Lima, Oh to Vandalia, Oh 63 miles $3.78 (did that load twice)
Vandalia, Oh to Bedford, Pa 331 miles $2.36
Bedford, Pa to Solon, Oh 211 miles at 2.36
Those are the loads I booked for the week, of course actual miles is different with deadhead and such.
    13 drop and hooks 5 live load/unloads

    9 loads in 7 days..

    Was 1941 all miles
Revenue will be $4,303 or $2.21 ALL miles

Fuel burnt looks to be about $700
    Fixed costs are $1100
So revenue after fixed and fuel costs was $2,500.
That week I did work a full 7 days but didn't work much each day.

That was two weeks ago, then I ran solely in the Northeast.
This last week I wanted to get OUT of the Northeast. Also I took two days off this week and here are those numbers:

Seaford, DE to Pittston, PA 221 miles $2.27
Pittston, PA to Chambersburg, PA 164 miles $2.31
York, PA to Tannersville, PA 127 miles $3.93
Lancaster, PA to Tannersville, PA 104 miles $4.74
New Windsor, NY to Williamsburg, VA 426 miles $1.66
Williamsburg, VA to Grove City, OH 496 miles $1.70

6 loads in 7 days. I took two days off during the week.
    7 drop and hooks 5 live load/unload

1910 all miles, total revenue was $3,421 or $1.79 all miles
Fuel used was about $662 and my fixed costs are $1100.
So I was left with $1,659 which isn't bad in my opinion considering I got out of the Northeast and took two days off.

Those are just a few examples ... the way you run is totally up to you.
My fixed costs include everything include money going into my maintenance account.

The rate per mile per load is directly off the load board and it's estimate loaded rate per mile.
So the rates per load are loaded miles.. that way you all can see what loads actually pay in different areas.

At the end of each week I showed ALL miles which include my deadhead and etc.

For example here's a 24 hours period to show you deadhead:

Chambersburg, to York, to Tannersville 189 ALL miles including deadhead for $500 or $2.64 all miles. So the load board said the load paid $3.93 loaded miles but all the miles I drove including driving deadhead to get the load brought me to $2.64 on each mile I drove for that specific load.
Then Lancaster to Tannersville load paid $493 or $4.74 (per the load board) but I was just at Tannersville on the previous load.. BUT I felt it was worth deadheading all the way back and cutting the rate in half.
Even with the deadhead on that load I was still over 200 all miles at over $2 all miles including deadhead. I'll take that all day anyday and twice on Sunday.
On that specific load I ran 216 all miles for $493 or $2.28 all miles.

In a day that was 405 all miles at $2.45 ALL miles including deadhead. 405 miles on $993 in revenue in one day.
Do the math. You can pull off high $$$ short loads and when you do it's big money.
Having it mostly be open window drop and hook appointments it makes it pretty easy vs say being somewhere for an appointment at a specific time with all live load/unload.

obviously my rate for the whole week dropped a lot when I left the Northeast but that's fine because I wanted to GTFO out of there and I still did over $1.40 all miles on the loads getting me out of the Northeast which is fine. Leaving the Northeast is difficult rate wise.. my goal is always at least $1.40 including deadhead to get me out of the Northeast. I've been in the Northeast four times and left never for less than $1.43 all miles.. twice I had to wait for over a week though because I refuse to leave for cheap.
In those situations I run the short loads in the Northeast which gets me by until I find a way out that's not cheap.

That's just me.. again anybody can run whatever way they want.

I heard a rumor that Schneider Choice percentage would also be implemented in the bulk division? Do you have any update on that? Or will bulk stay on a mileage plan with dispatchers.
