What if a small fleet owner who leases his trucks on to a large, but not mega carrier offered his company driver this:

LP driver pays 500 bucks a week.....this is for:

    2009 Cascadia with over 600k
    Bobtail Ins
    Registration
    Phy Dam
    2290 HUT
    Plates

Truck can be traded in on 11/15, payoff 42k

% Pay, average weekly gross 3k
    100% FSC
    No forced dispatch

It's sounds like a great deal for the carrier, not so sure the driver will come out smelling like a rose though.

When have you ever met a driver that smells like a rose?

Sounds awful. Any 2009 emissions truck is going to rob you of any profit. Terrible year for trucks.

Percentage pay is the way to go IMHO, but 3K gross a week is not good enough. If it was me, I would be looking at $16-$18000 mth gross. Especially with that truck payment, which is a tad high bearing in mind you are buying a truck with 600K on the clock.
100% FSC is fine as long as it's a true 100% and not 100% of a number they dream up and ends up not being 100% after all.
Plenty of smoke and mirrors in this business especially with FSC.
    Good luck.

    chalupa Thanks this.
