Well that doesn't sound too positive. I don't mind being overly thorough and extremely professional. I don't mind juggling and navigating through corporate politics either. Nature of the entire trucking industry.

Can an you elaborate at all about your time there?

Long beach and Indy always beg me to fill out an app when I do sub service there.

    Tip:
If your terminal doesn't have an ice machine or a doorknob on the bathroom go somewhere else.

    ....lookin @ you okc -.-

They are very hard on their drivers. You will spend more time on a forklift then in a truck. You will be on call all day, and could work p/d or lime haul. You could do 2 days p/d, then no work and they will call you for line haul,Mao now you wasted a day, be off that night due to freight shortage and just wasted a day, then sure enough next morning back on p/d. Some terminals will turn you back at 7 hours and have someone else finish your route so there's no overtime. Some terminals will try and get you to do a split shift 4 in the morning for inbound, them 4 at night for outbound. I had to do that for a while, basically was a living zombie and no life.

Is is it better than OTR as people say? I have no idea as I never went OTR, but from horror stories I would say it is. If you stick it out you can hold a bid. All tractors now have cameras facing the driver and one facing forward. Trucks are wired front to back. UPSF has become exactly like them, the only upside to UPSF is a pension. Don't miss either.

The Conway lane isn't for Conway otr trucks according to phoenix.

    Shame!
    Shame!

    You get off our lane...
    But I'm delivering here...
    Its your crap...
And we are traded as the same stock.

Not a fan of most Conway freight terminals.

Take a poop get a cup of water and gtfo before they steal my empty trl or assign a loaded\unloaded local xD.

A lot of the places are hiring ppl to just do forklifts .

Soo those hours for drivers are about to be gone all over the country. Just a heads up. Don't by expecting any overtime.

I don't know I guess I feel kind of positive about it because one of the super Class 1s or whatever you want called the place. I've heard mixed reviews depending upon which Service center your at etc. etc. so I guess I could just give it a shot you never know what truck drivers it's not as if though there's not 1 million truck driving jobs out there LOL. I'm extremely nosy so I decided to ask the guy give me the road test and several drivers were just standing around asking about the place and it seem to be the same consensus next review some good some bad something between the pace seems pretty fair and there is opportunity for advancement there provided you have previous experience maybe in personnel hiring etc.

all in all from a stability standpoint that portion of the job is there very large company very well-founded Etc.

i've been throwing groceries for the last seven years so I would like to stay active considering the fact that I used to weigh 300 pounds and I weigh 200 pounds Now. Lol.

I had interviews of both ABF and why YRC and they both left a terribly bad taste in my mouth that being said given my current situation in my current job and owner operators and outside carriers taking a lot of our loads and leaving the company drivers high and dry going for making $1300 a week to 1000 to sometimes 900 a week but a bad taste in my mouth as well I don't expect to make that much starting out there but given over time and my insatiable work ethic I figured I could probably stay in the $50k range easily.

and furthermore I would also like to thank a lot of you guys in a bit regulars on this board that I have been following for the last several years especially ACH I've seen you on here several times talking about ABF why RC and you guys have some of the most informative and honest answers of companies out there want to thank you guys for that that is awesome.

thanks to forums like this and guys like you I can go get honest opinion on anything trucking that has to do with generally LTL situations you guys are awesome for that I finally decided after having created this account like nine years ago that should take part in this forum so I will afford to John with you guys and hanging out talking a lot everyday you guys are awesome thanks for being there for drivers

FYI don't mind my spelling and grammatical errors I'm using my iPhone and talking directly into it and it is deciphering what I'm trying to say so it's not to look too pretty but it will work LOL
