But by reading this forum and looking at want ads it seems like you have to have min 3 months experience driving. I assume this means OTR but are they local job openings for people just out of CDL school?
thanks for any comments
Propbably a stupid newbie question

Tons of local jobs right out of CDL school.
The biggest mistake new drivers make is assuming they need experience to land a local job. Just because an ad or website says, "experience required" doesn't make it so.
If you make phone calls, then the answer will be "NO."
If you submit online applications or go knock on doors with a diploma in hand, then you have an excellent chance of local jobs."semi" retired, jamesgang, Shaggy and 1 other person Thank this. -
Pound pavement, talk with drivers, ask around in your family if they know anyone in logistics/trucking etc etc etc. Plenty of ways to weasel into a local job.
easiest way i did it. Researched a company, Applied for their NON CDL driving position. 3 days later I was driving their CDL trucks.jamesgang and Marksteven Thank this. -
