Taking a shot in the dark here, but does anybody work for or know someone who works for a company called Same Day Delivery? This company is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They do local LTL P/U and delivery with everything from cargo vans to tractor/trailers. I am trying to find out any info that I can about them like if they are a good company to work for and what they pay.

That is a odd company, On the outside reminds me of 1099 IC jobs... Generic Company Name that would rent from ryder/penske. But, the website shows company vehicles ( doesn't take much to alter photos )

Keep us updated, Odd company. Ma & Pa Franchise ??? http://sameday.net

That almost sounds like the kind of set up and odd ball expedited company would have. You know cargo vans, straight trucks and tractor trailers.
We have a few air freight and delivery companies here in Cleveland that have similar set ups, generic names and have cargo vans and straight trucks and semi trucks.

They are legit. I see there trucks on the road almost everyday. Website says they have been in business since 1985. I just can't find much more info on them other than their website. :smt102

They own a majority of their trucks and just purchased 5 more Freightliner Straight Trucks. They run straight trucks and day cabs. They may have a couple leases but that is it. They are mainly Freightliner with some existing volvo's in the makeup. They are fast paced from what I can tell, when I go to meet with them. I did not and do not work there, but know some of the guys. Partner managed ownership. Younger, sharp guys. The people I see work their tail off. But yes, they are all over the place, so they must be doing something right.

Never heard of them, but now that I've seen this I'll probably notice them all over.

I worked for them for a little over a month. It was my first local company I went with from being OTR. They are ok I guess. Pay is low. With at the time 3 years experience they started me at $14. You will run 12-14 hrs a day with no overtime pay. They have plenty of short stuff. E logs using a tablet and a phone for dispatch. I personally thought it was a joke but some loved it. Just too low of pay but I took it to get local work and find something better. I was treated fair tho. Hope that helps
