    2012 Mack Pinnacle = danger

Our new Macks have given us a new safety problem for drivers. The top step on ther driver's side is mounted to the battery box cover. The problem comes when the box cover has been disturbed by someone. If it is not replaced exactly right it will come loose allowing the step to fall off. 2 of our drivers have had a nasty fall because of it; one has two broken vertebrae in his neck.

    Be careful folks.

This is easy. Make sure it is. If you've been a driver any length of time and know your equipment, you should know what to look for. There's no other excuse except for laziness on the shop AND the drivers's part for not inspecting equipment.

Sounds like poor design is a factor too. Everyone around here had Macks back in the day, not now.
