Where do they like to run? I been looking at getting a daycab, and with rare exceptions what I see for Mack's all the rears are 4.++ 4.42, 4.56 etc. Mileage is consistent with other daycabs that run highway speeds....making me wonder are they running at 65mph they'd be wound out pretty good...I've never ran or even been in a Mack newer than late 60's and never on the highway. Just asking for curiousity
Rpm sweet spot for Mack motors

Check out a few of his later videos. He recently bought a new Mack and has been trying to work on his fuel economy. 1400rpm is what he was told by the dealer and it seems to be true from his limited experience. -
all depends what Mack motor and trans. a maxidyne with a t2070 would run 5.55-6.34 depending on what your road speed needed . my E7 gets the best fuel mileage 1450-1500 which is 65-70mph doubt it would do much better I slowed down dragging what I do and I can't stand driving below the speed limit on a good day. the older e6's seemed to get good fuel milage running 1800 or better
Ruthless Thanks this.
