I am currently looking in to schools and know once I get done I want to go with a flatbed company. I have herd a lot of good things about Maverick and they are one of my top 3 companies that I would like to drive for, so with that being said dose Maverick per-hire? If so should I apply before I start school for say half way through?

The only pre hire you get is an invitation to attend orientation. During the week long orientation until you get your job offer it's like a long job interview

Pure hire des not mean anything. No joke. Until your through orientation you do not have a job.

Average class starts out with 20 and maybe 5 end up staying the rest are sent home, normally for leaving stuff off,or unpaid tickets, lies on previous employer, failed drug test.

Don't lie, don't smoke dope they will catch it, then you'll be back here asking how do I best the drug test. Don't smoke for a month.

All a "pre-hire" means is that they've run a background check and didn't see anything that would disqualify you. And yes, Maverick does "pre-hire". Fill out the app now and talk to the recruiter; might as well get that out of the way. Besides, they may have a recommended school.

If you weren't heading to school for another six months, then I'd wait. Maybe.

And once they "invite" you they send you letters for 3 years saying time is running out to go with them.

THIS IS COMPLETELY FALSE WITH REGARDS TO MAVERICK. That may apply too other carriers but Maverick checks very thoroughly before they invite you to orientation. When they bring you to orientation the job is yours to lose. When I went through orientation they said something like 28000 people applied, they invited 1200 to orientation, and they hired 700 last year. My persional class had around 30 to start and around 25 were hired.

Ok so what I'm getting from this is pretty much as long as you are upfront about everything and have nothing major on your MVR or have criminal record you should get a invite? Also I'm kinda gathering they really don't do a "per-hire" per say, when would be a good time to pally, say two weeks from getting your CDL?

I personally would call and have a conversation with a recruiter. Explain your plan and ask them how best to proceed.
Now you have a contact person and they have your name.
