My guess is you heard wrong.
Might be right on the DC ports. -
I work for Maverick. 1500 W inverter in the older trucks, 1000 W in the 2014's with 4 extra batteries. You can plug in microwave, coffee maker, etc. No wi-fi in the trucks. Not sure what do you mean by satellite.

There is a satellite receiver on the trucks, but it's for the Qualcomm computer.
-
This is what I've observed:The Qualcomm's themselves can run on nearby wifi networks. They do that a lot at Pilot's, for example. The Qualcomm will do this automatically as an alternative to the usual cell networks it runs on. You can't run your device off wifi via the Qualcomm or it's satellite, as far as I know.
On the road, you'll have the usual access at truck stops and also the Maverick yard in North Little Rock. They might set up wifi at their other yards in the near future.
The other option, one that I use, is to use your phone as a wifi hotspot. You just need to be mindful of data usage. -
Are the fridges in the new trucks 12V or 110V?
