OK, about hard hat...how about the safety vest?
-
If you're like me I bought my own. Heavier, not mesh. I don't like the ones they give out. I got mine at a Lowe's.
-
Yeah, I got one anyway, but a spare will be nice to have. Also, went today for TWIC, and tomorrow for hazmat endorsement. Already have the passport, but appears Melton no longer offers the $1,000 bonus for getting all three within 6-months of hire date. Now, they pay $500 orientation vs $160.....paying $200 on Thursday, and $300 on 1st check. Not sure where the incentive lies, except extra $0.03 CPM for hazmat loads, and hopefully more opportunity. We will see.

I've cleaned up this thread, if I see any more of the name calling and bickering in this thread, infractions are going to follow.

Melton sucks. No miles. No home time. And they have in cab cameras. You have Ben forewarned. A proud American trucker. And supporter of locks for love. Drive safe be safe

It's always helpful having both, at any company. I use mine all the time up in the north east, especially around the Philly area. Usually get sent into the ports in Camden. Also living in Houston, I go to the port here a lot.

Well, I ended up going back to Swift for now, as I had some balancing issues with a weak right ankle. Probably for the best.
