Anyone know how paying for a solo room works? Going to Trenton. Do they pay the roommate part and I pay the diff or do I have to pay for all up front? They told me I had to pay if I wanted to do it but not how much/when. I emailed Ellan yesterday but no response. Maybe I should just do the roommate thing cause I am going to be a roommie with whomever I train with right?
Thanks,
Steve

Right.
That's like complaining the bus ride seems too long.
It's all preparation for the real thing.
Might as well get used to snoring and other bodily noises and odors because in training the room is much smaller and it's usually going to be in motion. -
i would just suck it up amd have a roommate. its cheaper that way. plus you are going to have a worse roommate for 5+ weeks after class anyway. its not that bad. my roommate snored so loud i thought he was dying or going to choke in his sleep.

Don't forget to pack earplugs

Yes you can have a solo room. Just call BRF and make the request. You will pay back the cost of the hotel room back at 10 dollar per week increments. If your class has an odd number of students someone will be solo. In that case the person is still only responsible for the amount as having a roommate. Hope that helps. Have fun and good luck!

Thanks for the reply. They must have changed it recently because they got back to me and said that if I wanted no roommate I would have to pay for all of it out of pocket. I guess they are trying to keep costs down/keep things simple. We may end up with an odd number though, as of yesterday we have 5 in our class so who knows. I might as well get used to the idea of being in the same room with someone though cause the truck will be a lot tighter when I train than a hotel room!

You could always request a single room, you just have to pay full price instead of half price. I would highly suggest just getting a roommate. It gets pretty boring if your anti social. Make friends, invite them to your room to hang out. Hotel time can be fun or miserable. Its what you make it

Yeah this job really is about your attitude. There will be a lot of downtime at the hotel unless you're driving or live close. It's nice to have a roommate to chat with or whatever your little heart desires.

Having a roommate is nothing. If that's a problem, you'll be miserable during training.
