Thanks! I'm really looking forward to it. I'm trying to re-find all the info I previously read on this forum so I'll know what to fully expect. Drive safe out there!

Thank you! Maybe I can get you as a trainer, if you're free when the time comes!

Been awhile since last post. Just trying to get my ##### together before I leave for training. This wait is killing me! I did think of a couple of questions, if anyone out there could answer them for me I would appreciate it. 1) When you go on vacation, do you still take your truck home with you? Will they not try to re-seat it if you're not going to be running for 7 days? 2) If you stay out for say 12 weeks at a time, will they let you take at least 7 days off, or do you just get the normal 4 1/2 days off? 3) How long can you be off on vacay or hometime before they try to re-seat the truck? Last one I promise, 4) If you take the per diem pay plan and have direct deposit, how are you paid? Do you just get one direct deposit or two with the per diem and miles split? Or does the per diem go on a Comdata card or something like that? Thanks in advance for everyone's help! I hope everyone is getting good miles and running in good weather!!! Stay safe!!

    1. If u have somewhere to park truck ot truck and trailer for your vaca you could take it home. Will most likely be same setup ad when u take hometime. 2. That is up to you and ur dispatcher. Some are ok letting drivers take 7 days off if they stay out long periods of time, some arent. I know marco and opie where both ok with it.3. A while is best answer i can give there. At least 2 weeks, they wont try to take truck just because u are on vaca.4. Its all on check, ur pay stubs will have the per diem listed in a extra line and ur w2 will have a box showing yearly per diem total.

Thank you very much for the info db! Hopefully I will get a cool dispatcher! I'm glad Millis won't try to re-seat the truck if I'm out more than the normal 4 or 5 days. Stay safe out there and have a Happy New Year bud!!!

Time is fast approaching! Starting to get kinda nervous! Turned in my notice today, and they were less than thrilled. Oh well. Talked to Raychel today and she said there are 12 students in my class with two trainers. Seems like its gonna be a big class. Stay safe out there everyone!!

Been awhile since last post. I don't even know if anyone was following this, so I quit posting. Don't have a lot of free time on my hands anyways. First week is done. Everything went pretty smooth. A lot of paperwork, some trip planning, logs, HOS, and the famed Millis 500. Greg is cool as h*ll and very knowledgeable. Jamie Millis is helping out with instructing the class, since it's so big. Jamie is also pretty cool. 11 people showed up out of 12 in the class. Most everyone is doing pretty good so far. The whole class is from GA except me and my roommate. Today is Sat and I'm just hanging at the hotel, trying to catch up on some laundry. Since everyone is from GA, they all get to go home on the weekends. It's really boring just hanging out at the hotel all day. Anyways, Tuesday half the class is taking a trip up to Wisconsin and the other half is staying in GA to start with all the backing. I'm gonna be with the half that gets to stay and back. That's fine with me though considering all the weather up north! Everyone in the class has trainers so far, but we won't know who they are till around the third week of class. They are supposed to call us sometime around there so we can set everything up. Well, I guess that's all for now. Everyone have fun and drive safe!
