Yeah, It's a 730, if not a 780. It was dark and I only noticed in passing that it was new, otherwise I would have thought is was one of the old 600s that was getting outserviced. I still don't have enough hands-on with volvos to easily spot the difference between the '30 and '80 700.

    Oh, and welcome aboard, Spyder.

I looked at a 730 when i was getting my truck serviced at the volvo dealership here in cedar rapids, the inside of the sleeper looked huge, lots of cabinets, and a fridge. The sleeper on the 630 i drive now looked tiny in comparison.

Yeah I forgot to report on that, seems the AC is not charging(not that I need it right now) so she'll get taken care of later. Drove 764 for a couple of days, what a pleasure,NOT,the truck smelled like an ash tray(no I don't smoke anymore) and the steering tires were down to 3/32 which equates to great traction on wets roads. Needless to say Cory had new ones put on when I got back. I sure have gotten spoiled driving a new one.

    Welcome aboard Spyder.

    Happy trails.

Just pulled in to Stampede Packing up in Kalispell. Little did I know, it's a ranch with a 2 plate dock and a little pack house attached.

93 is a hell of a drive, though.

Going to take the scenic route to Portland tomorrow. US 2 west to US 95 down to Coeur D'Alene, then the regular way on over. Apparently 2 to 95 only adds 10 miles over 93 down to MT28 to MT200 and MT135.

    Yes.

Generally not. Most loads are just right. Of course it's trucking, so you hustle from time to time. Taking 10 at shippers and receivers makes this much easier.

Yes. Best paying and most personal trucking job I've had yet.

Yes & Yes. I don't remember the premium, but there's "hazard pay" or whatever that you get for going into the boroughs. I've loaded and/or unloaded in the Bronx, Brooklyn & Queens, and obviously taken the scenic tours of Manhattan and Staten Island to get there.

I suppose this thread is getting a little on the long side to comb it for these details.

You live in Florida?? That's way outside of our normal lanes.
