not an easy week for me boys... my #### truck cause a show going north on 95 monday blowing smoke like the brakes was on fire instead i think it was doing an rolling regen and just blowing soot like #####...... sit in railex for 12 hours tuesday cause quote unquote a late train had caused my load not to be ready yet... and had a mix up with josh which i didnt like so much!!! ugh!!!!! the joys of trucking... i think next week i will be requesting a load out to the west, hopefully i can get home on the weekend, i dont mind running out there, its just the fact i want to be home by friday night/saturday morning!! be easy boys and saienga i seen you in front royal today, when i was pulling in with an empty i assume you was leaving out with one!!
-
Hawk,
you better watch that smoke, the EPA will be on your ###, anyway I know that was a good time at railx. I'm currently in Windom Mn, thought it was a drop and hook, but no, it's a live load, so I'm sitting here watching the billions of baby mosquitos fly around, burning valuable daylight -
I don't know about all that soot. I've been in and out of several trucks that do rolling regens, and I've never had them spawn fog banks...barely ever seen them make anything at all. I can usually only tell when I slow down to a crawl and get the "High Exhaust Temp" warning on the dash. -
I spent 4 hrs reading this over the last few days....got on the website last night and to top it off I ran with a van wyk driver and talked on the CB for an hour this morning.... guess carma is telling me sumthin.

# saigen it has done it in the past when i keep the jake on and after while it cools down but that so much wont the case the other night...every since monday i've been keeping an eye on it and it hasnt been as bad and i hope it stays that way.... now i just gotta get the AC back working in the bunk as it only blows out hot air!!!! that really sucks!! -
My truck usually only smokes really heavy during a rolling regen when I have been idiling quite a bit, and having this DEF on here seems to make it a little more prominent. @Hawk, your best bet for getting back home ASAP is to call either Sheldon or Great Bend so they have an ETA when you'll be in the area. I do that all the time with Cory & David, 9 times outta 10 I get a decent load heading back or get my name on the list for a good load. Hey Larry, how did you fare at StupidValu in Green Bay on the parking issue? I'm sitting at Hawkeye in Coralville getting unloaded for 3.5 hours now, it's always expected to take atleast four hours here ugghh! I have never been to a Railex facility yet but I have heard quite a few horror stories about them! It seems that produce lives up to the "hurry up & wait then haul ##### theory"! I've waited out in Salinas, CA for HOURS to load, sometimes the product that I'm loading isn't even out of the fields yet.

Hawk,
yup a Sunday am delivery to Food Lion, looks like I'll have just enought time to get there and get unloaded.
Rob,
parked at a little TS on 172 about 9 miles from SV, took 4.5 hours to unload those delicious coffee creamers, mmmm.
On another topic, picked up my first load in Escanaba MI. to Spencer, IA. to the Eaton plant, I was impressed that we still make trans. parts, thought all of that came from our good friends the Chinese, guess I was wrong.
Be safe guys. -
Oh yeah, we pick up quite a bit of parts for Eaton & I was just as surprised about the good ol' US of A still making tranny's. There's another place about 40 miles west of there where we pick up Eaton which is Hermansville. The last time I was in Hermansville the UP got hit with a pretty bad snow storm while I was on my way up there, ended up having to throw a couple chains just to get around the parking lot and to keep myself from sliding while they were loading me. Hey Mark, was that you in Sheldon today (Saturday)? I didn't really think much of it when I saw a driver getting out of 656 but now it's ringing a bell. I was the guy with a beard, glasses, black t-shirt & black Nebraska hat on. I'm not anti-social or anything, I was just trying to get out of the yard ASAP! Welcome to the fleet and hope to run into you down the road. Be safe all!

@Hawk you may want to check the fresh air intake filter under the bunk, that's usually the number one culprit.
