I was wondering what trucking companies I should be looking at to get my feet wet?
I want to be treated like a human not just a driver number.
    Any info would be great.

I have a prehire from Davis Transport and I do not actually have the letter just the school director saying that maybey the

    Can you say insurance fraud.
He claimed i smashed in his trunk the only problem was he was in a mazda 626 with tail lights all the way accross the trunk none of which were busted or cracked i was driving a pickup and only tapped the bumper which i admitted to and no damage was done.
I pointed it out to the officer about the tail lights still being in tact not broken or cracked and the officer said that is the only reason why you are not being charged with the accident.
To top it off the other guy did not have dl and he got off with it.
I also have one ticket in the last 5 years

If its on paper somewhere, it happened.

If it's not on paper, it never happened.

if your worried about the prehire, i would call Davis themselves, ask for a requiter(sp?) and find out for sure, plus get it in writing.if you need the #, i have it

be honest about t. If you lie and it shows up later it gives them a reason to fire you.

With these big companies you will always be a number. You need a small co if you want a peronal relationship with them. But they don't usualy hire with no experience. I'v always worked fr smaller companies. I don't want anyhting to do with the big boys

Davis transport is NOT a "mega carrier". They currently have around 115 company trucks and 20-30 o/o's. Believe me you are not a # there after the few days in orientation.with the exception of a few dispatchers that are based out of state you will meet everyone, from the big "boss" to the dispatchers (most of em anyway) and mechanics. IMO they are a good outfit to run for, and they will train you on flatbedding, by the time you get into your own truck you should be proficiant at it, and ready to make money. the time out with a trainer isnt the funest but hey, everyone goes thru it.Have fun with it and be upfront and honest with the dispatchers and your fleet manager. you may hafta remind them when you want to be home, but be polite and youll get farther ahead.

Hey everyone, I recently started looking for a decent company that I might be able to go to work for, but don't seem to be able to find out much about this company. Falcon Transport any information that anyone might have would be greatly appreciated. Talked with falcon on the phone and they say that you will be home 48 out of 52 weekends per year. Right now there is a freeze on van trailer and was thinking about getting on with them for Flatbed. Contacted Roehl and they say at this time they are not hiring in my area. Thanks for any help!!!
