    Hi everyone,
I'm just trying to find a company to lease my truck to. I have 4 years of both dry van and reefer experience under my belt. Im trying to bring home a minimum of 2400+ home after fuel which from what i have read is on the low side of what some are making. I am not planning on buying a trailer and getting my own authority at this time but already know the ins and outs of it and am not ready for the expense of buying a trailer and maintaining it. Most companies i talk to are saying on average their drivers are bringing home 1500 to 1700 a week, which is insane and dont understand how they stay afloat. Because i know some people are going to ask why i am leaving the current company i am leased to, its not because of the money or lack of loads, its because they mainly run in and out of california and my 2006 freightliner will not be able to do this so it wil be impossible to make money here and i am not spending money on another truck being i love my girl and keep her well maintained. i also know i can retro fit a filter, but it is hard to get those serviced and they are really expensive to get installed. i have read many posts were guys are making upwards of 2 bucks a mile and would like to know what company they are leased to, being they arent specific when they post. Just trying to find the best paying company with consistant freight to lease to. Thank you for any help that any of you can give me.

I'm going to meet with people from voyager nation on Monday, i have talked to their safety girl, she said the average to take home is $2500 -$3500 a week. You can check them out at www.voyagernation.com or i can let you know how did it go on Monday :biggrin_25511:

I'm leasing on to roadrunner this summer. Talked to their drivers and ops mangers. They are a true Independent company and once you are out on your own after orentiation if you need pointers to run your business your screwwed, they give you numbers to brokers and their terminals and how to get their paper work to them and thats it. You are truely independent running on their authority.

So it has been a month since i started here @ voyager nation. And i like it here. No BS about the pay. Every time i need to go home they work with me ,no problem. Never had any problems with fuel card, like in the previous company. And the dispatch and the branch manager are the best, they all come from the background of trucking. Two out of three dispatchers were a truck drivers before, one of them was an owner operator back in the day. The branch manager was the owner operator for 10 years. I think i did found a new home for me and my good old rig :biggrin_25525:.
