My fiancee is headed over to Bestway Express in Vincennes tomorrow. Can anyone provide any direct information on them? Do they run teams? Can someone explain their rider program? Current pay rate? Approximate length of runs on average? Pet policy, yes or no?

Any other questions I should be asking but aren't?

They've got trucks that won't run. Newer I'm guessing a lot of volvos. Some of their trailers are pretty rough. But I've heard good and bad about them.

That can be said for any company. More specifically though, what about any of the info I requested above. Can anyone help with this?

Well, my baby went over to Bestway Express today. She didn't get much in the way of questions answered today, but she did take her road test again. I'm happy to say that, after over 6 years off the road, SHE IS A TRUCK DRIVER AGAIN!!!

    :biggrin_25519:

On the down side, she did say that a lot of Bestway's trucks are on the older side. She also states, that if you are a woman and go there, prepare to be razzed and tested a bit. Guy's being guy's, you can expect that.

They run #### near all Volvos. Their trailers are rough and their trucks won't run. You can't say that for my company, we have governors on our trucks....set at 92 mph... We have all 2012 trailers so our trailers are in good shape. I heard that they were buying trailers from Meisler in Evansville and all their trailers are junk. I hear they get ok miles but don't expect anything special. I wish her the best but there's a lot better company's around here to drive for.

What does she consider older? Mines an 06 and we have an 04 as long as they've been taken care of their fine. I drove a 98 up until I went back over the road and it was in better shape than half of the new trucks.

Worked for them a couple of years ago. No teams. Don't recall rider policy for sure, think it was after 6 months. 32 CPM, seemed to run about 2200 miles a week. Home every week for a reset and not much more. No pets IIRC. Definitely want to get health insurance elsewhere if you can. They are not as picky as some folks on hiring. Older equipment. Not the worst place in the World to re-enter driving.
