I see their reefers down here in southern middle Tennessee twice a week. Picking up water cress. I thought it was an unusual name. So I looked it up. First time I had ever heard of a tree named honey locust. Good luck on your job search!!
tangerineGT Thanks this. -
was named "Honey Locust Farms" then they expanded back around 96 into trucking .
And thanks . Kinda testing waters to see what they are like .
It says family owned , and don't appear to be a huge company . -
I checked out their web-site last year when I first saw them down this way. Their equipment looks nice and well kept.

With those diesel guzzling trucks. Don't expect to be paid much per mile.
tangerineGT Thanks this. -
Actually Dinomite, I've heard their drivers are paid rather well, or at least they were two years ago. They used to haul pigs out of my uncles farm to Hatfield, I talked to one of their drivers. He told me 65k per year. But it may have been a tall tale.

Question is how many log books to get 65k? I was also thinking on the reefer side. I think most live stock guys get percentage, but not sure.
tangerineGT Thanks this. -
Hard to say, I do know the livestock guys did run hard, as most of them do.
-
Yea they don't have anything on their site about starting pay or anything , so not really sure .
but they do have some real nice equipment , and maintenance is all done in house from what I seen.
They may have to run two books to make that but I don't know its a small family owned business.
I would like to get on their live stock running , but ya know what . Ill start where I have to so I can get a foot in the door .Dinomite Thanks this. -
better a foot in the door then one in the mouth
tangerineGT Thanks this.
