Depends on the violation. Reckless ..speeding....carry more weight and can get driver fired. Dot inspection not as bas as moving violation.

My trainer was "following too close" and going 7mph over and got a written warning, they canned him a month later. Basically written warnings are cops chicken #### way of ####### you over

If ya get fired over silly stuff like that, you probably are better off somewhere else anyhow

Kinda stupid for a carrier to "cut someone loose" over a low CSA point accumulation. If a pattern of racking up points is showing that would be one thing. The Carrier is still going to carry the "ding" on their CSA score from a driver even after than driver is let go. So the carrie gains nothing by cutting someone loose over a something like 8 pts. Or even a couple of violations in couple of years. The carrier is still going to have whatever the driver did wrong on their own score for 2 years. It is spotting a pattern by a driver that they are gong to be a long term problem should be the criteria.
But then, Prime has it's own particular weirdness going on. Has for years.
