yeah busy would be an understatement.

2900, 3110, 2800 last 3 weeks then only 2300 this past week but was student's last week so they kept us kinda close in so as to be sure and get him in Friday early enough to test out. ran him hard last couple weeks but he hung in there pretty good. ran him from Texas to Michigan to Massachusetts to Florida and everything in between. pretty intensive for a guy that was supposed to be doing local/shuttle/yard dog at browns summit.....until they got him in and tested out and then told him that wasn't what he was going to be doing. they put him on some dedicated account running between Greensboro and new bern/Kinston. he wasn't too happy. rate of pay wasn't what he was expecting and the job sounds like a real pain but at least he's still going to be home every day.

rolled into colonial heights yesterday to pick up the load home and a covenant truck there.....pretty dolled up and a bunch of chrome on it for a company truck and a Cascadia at that....then out come 3....count 'em 3 get out of the truck......I'd seen this once before up in Kentucky at a loves but there were 4 that got out of that one and thought it was just an anomaly but then 3 of them pile out of the truck as I was getting hooked up......walked over and asked the guy that was obviously the trainer about it he said it was sop.....told him from one trainer to another that was just nuts and clearly not safe as there's no way he can effectively train and monitor more than one student at a time. he got really snotty and told me it was none of my business and all that mattered was his paycheck and it looked pretty good with 3 on the truck. i'll be giving them an even wider berth than western express from now on. 3+ on a trainer truck is just insane. wonder how they decide who sleeps with who lol

rolled into the fuel island when I got in yesterday and fuel and get my paperwork and head for the gate to turn it in and the fuel guy gets all bent out of shape and told me I have to go park in the yard and walk my paperwork back up. in the pouring rain. asked him if he was serious. he said too many guys getting in arguments at the uel lane he wasn't letting anyone park there to do business with dispatch from now on we had to go down in the yard and park and walk back up to dispatch. not Donny or the older guy but the short one with the sandy hair. just looked at him like he was from another planet and asked him if he saw any other trucks behind me or in the other lane it was pouring rain I had to turn in my paperwork. he insisted I park first and couldn't stay in the lane even long enough to turn in my paperwork. what a bunch of bs. any of you other guys heard this? that's not gonna last long and in retrospect next time i'll just ignore him and walk on in if there's nobody parked behind me or in the other lane. if there's issues they need to deal with the hot heads and not stick it to the rest of us.

wife is going out with me next week heading out to Lakeland Monday. be nice to have her with me last couple weeks I've been rolling hard we haven't had much time together.

what a difference a day makes. in so many regards.

had some off and on abdominal pain during the week but nothing I couldn't handle. Figured just something I ate as student complained about the food doing him wrong at the place we stopped Wednesday night. Saturday around the house it turns on wide open. bad enough I have to go to the er.

so now, a day later, here I lay in a hospital bed with a very angry gall bladder.....IV in my arm. liquid diet. beef broth, chicken broth, jello, shaved ice. I'd kill for real food right now.......and having every reason why I hate doctors reinforced to the nth degree. so we have a gall bladder full of gall stones, swollen and inflamed and they in their infinite wisdom deem that they have to 'get it better' before they can take it out of me. really? wtf kind of bs logic is that? 'get it better?" if it's THAT ####### bad just get it the #### out of me and let's get on about our lives. nooooooooo we have to get the gall bladder better before we can cut it out of you and kill it. what a bunch of ####### morons.

had a good trip out to Lakeland for Monday too and had to call and cancel it. they're saying I should be out of here and rolling by Wednesday then run a course of antibiotics for about 6 weeks then go in and do the surgery. #### that it makes more sense to get it out now. of course that wouldn't cost as much as tying up about 7 weeks in the whole thing. everything is a ####### money grab. I can promise you they're ready to be rid of me much more than I am to be out of here and that's saying something.....especially with my tolerance for stupidity being less than zero and dealing with nothing but stupid people since I walked in the door.
