    Hello,

I may have a job at Eagle Express out of Warrendale, PA. Seems like a nice place. I was wondering what anyone knows about the company, such as if they have weekly pay, rider policy, the whole 9 yards.. good or bad. I was told if I didn't make 1k a week there, I'm doing something wrong...:biggrin_25519:

Either way, it's bound to beat my current bus driving job... only getting 60-72 hrs there every 2 weeks...:biggrin_25513:

Please, again, I would like to hear everything, the good, the bad, and the ugly...

Pay every 2 weeks on Tuesday. No riders. I don't work out of Warrendale, but I have run some stuff for them. Communication is not the strong suit of that terminal. Yes you should make that kind of money. My norm is 2100-2600 every two weeks. Are you being hired for a certain route?

Eagle Express is now owned by Hoovestol. Both pretty good companies.

I believe there is a open run or two. I am waiting on the drug test to come back. Passed road test and physical, so now I wait...lol

If you can separate yourself from dealing with the people in the office as little as possible to get your job done it's a great place to work. As mentioned communications are not their strong suite, e.g. you will communicate with them, and chances are never hear back about what you're problem was...There is also a bit of (and I don't know if it's just the Warrendale/Zeilenople/Harmony - whatever we're calling it this week office - or company wide) throwing the newbie drivers to the wild and seeing if you survive. You'll get the information you need to pick-up the load from the Post Office, and perhaps directions to the Post Office you're going to - and have a safe trip. It would be so beneficial to the new hires if they let you guys ride with someone doing a route, ANY route, to get a feel for what you're doing once you get in the truck and drive down to the yard/NDC/L&DC.

But I clear (as in after taxes) almost $500 a week working two days on the weekend (have my pair of under 3 kids during the week while my wife works) and it gives me a nice chunk of "play money" and savings for little effort - if you like it, hauling the mail around has to be one of the easiest driving jobs out there. Just BE ON TIME AT ALL TIMES

Yes, I finding it to be a perfect fit for me. I think I met you at Breezewood nightowl7710... We were fueling. I like that Martinsburg run...

I haven't got a pay yet, and you are right, communication really isn't a strong point...but they do treat me good. I found a truck i like...991... wonder if i can score it to use most of the time... its old, but reliable...

Headed to Martinsburg again tonight, from Pittsburgh. Hope its better than last night. got delayed on 70 in MD dues to a flatbed losing its load of steel. I hope the people in the car were ok that drove head onto his load.

Ugh, for a straight, mostly flat stretch of road that section of I-70 has a lot of accidents. Tomorrow will be my last MTEC run, I got promoted to FULL TIME! Well perhaps promoted is too strong a word, and begged & cajoled would be a better way to describe it. But at any rate all my runs go West starting Monday, three Wauseon flips (I did one as my other run on Sundays) and one up to Chi-Town and back midweek. The bump in hours from 19 to 52 should be a nice jolt to the old payslip come Tuesdays ;)
