It would not surprise me if DNA checks start coming into the picture, in the near future.

If it's legal for them not to pay yall detention time then it's legal for them to do anything.

A company can require anything from perspective or current employee as long as it is not against any constitutional law.
You have the right to deny them a copy of your fingerprints and they have the right to deny you employment. They can enforce higher standards than those required by FMCSA, just not lesser requirements. If you don't like it, move along. -
Big R fingerprinted me back in the 80's as a casual. It's not against the law as far as I know. They did it for theft reasons. Seems deputy dawg was not very forthcoming with ID's on the last round of theft.
I can't really blame them.....consider this: Someone stole,
1. A new Harley in the crate
2. A pup load of sneakers
3. A pup load of Compaq computers
and the list goes on......
They lost the Compaq account even though they had insurance too. Compaq said yeah we got our money but we lost market exposure ( not on the shelf ) so we're moving on. -
Yeah, they can "ask" for your fingerprints, and you can say yes or no. Of course, if you say no, they say goodbye.
