I was talking with Courtney in recruiting over at the Memphis Office for about two weeks on and off. I could not corner them on detention or break down pay, they keep saying it is on a case by case basis.

I have seen two of there trucks, I run near the Chicago steel yards now and again. I did not find the drivers to talk with. The equipment looks beat. She said once a month authorized truck wash.

I have over 1 year otr experience and they seemed interested in me. Told me to come on down take the week load securement and paperwork orientation and be ready to drive out solo with my own truck shortly thereafter.

Then I told them I take prescription med's................Never heard another word from them. Been 4 weeks now and they will not return my calls.

Leave your questions here as to what you want to know? This is all of the written notes I have on them and are not verbatim:

They told me 37 cents a mile after one year upto 38 cents, home 3 weekends a month, take home truck, tarping pay $25. Multi pick up 1st $25 second $50. Comdata fuel, no pre-pass. Qualcomm, direct deposit.

No uniforms, tolls re-imbursed, break down pay $100 a day after 24 hours I think, inverter is ok in the cab. Average 2500 miles a week, governed at 65 MPH. 750 miles is their avg run. They run Midwest and Carolinas and some Southeast.

Fleet has average 80% week ends at home. 2005 or newer tractor Freightshaker. 500 tractor fleet
    HR Director-Jerry Trainer Manager-Barney Safety-Clay

no pets and riders must be 13 years of age or older.

Major customers are Alcoa, US Steel and McWayne

Training for experienced driver: 3 days orientation in memphis $50 a day.
5 day load securement and local driving $100 a day
Fairfield Inn Hotel in Memphis covered by company
Paid bus ticket to Memphis if you drive your own or take theirs

I am a very detail oriented driver and they are missing out by not talking with me further about all of my doctor letters of recommendation as a driver.

I posted in this subject catagory asking the same questions when I was doing my own homework on them. Look for other responses to that post.

One of their flats drop where I drop my trailer for home time. I have never seen the truck, just the trailer.

What you said is mostly correct, except I did clarify as needed in my thread on BTC orientation. They were kind of hesistant about their layover and breakdown pays.

Layover and detention seems to be an issue with most companies nowadays.. Not sure if they are keeping the money or just kissing the customers butt to get more freight.. But such perks ar almost a thing of the past in trucking...
