I dont have my CDL yet but plan on attending a CDL school in Malden, Missouri that offers PTDI certified courses and was wondering how hard or how easy it may be to get a job with Maverick. On their app they only ask if you have been convicted of a felony and not misdemeanors. Will Maverick overlook misdemeanors if you have a good driving record? Will Maverick send out pre-hire letters? I would like to get in their Flatbed fleet since their specialized division has a long waiting list. Maverick is the only flatbed company that I have not heard anything bad about. The misdemeanor I referred to is a misdemeanor possession charge that was 3 1/2 years ago. I can drop a UA right now and be clean and have no problem staying clean for a job with the right company so any info that anyone can give me about Maverick I would very much appreciate.
P.S. After reading several threads in this forum I am convinced that half of the people posting needs to get hooked on phonics because spelling is not one of their strong suits.
Thanks in advance.

Almost sounds like you will only stay clean if you get on with a good company? I hope I interpreted that wrong.
There is plenty of info on Maverick here on the site, I would advise to be honest with them on the application and see what they say. -
I think its the other way around
Specialized no wait (glass)
Flat bed up to 2 months
Notarps? -

I know its important if you are going to run to Canada
Certain misdemeanors keep you out of their country -
She said they used to have long wait list on the flatbed and short list on specialized. People would enroll for the specialized and once they got their training they would transfer to the flatbed division. Well, I guess Maverick got tired of that and now only offer training in specialized which now has a long waiting list. -
That is the reason Schneider sold the division to maverickOps85 Thanks this. -
First time poster. I too am looking at Mavrick. I drive for Western Express now. I just got back on the road after 4 years of military duty and got hired on by WE. They keep me busy, but the benifits are not so great. At my age thats what is important.

Some companies don't ask about misdemeanors. But beaware when your background check comes back most likely it will be on there. So its best if you tell them upfront. I would call them and inquire if they would accept you per there policy. No harm done there.
