    Mbm foodservice

Any info on this company would be appreciated. Their ad say that drivers can make about 60k a year. I worked for maines paper and food a few years ago and we had to unload everything. I dont have a problem with that if the money is right. Could someone shed some light on this company please?

im going for a interview with them tomorrow. from what ive been told at the center near me the driver unloads every thing, puts it in the customers stock room/freezer/cooler.. rotates their stock.not sure if that is the case at all the centers. not quite what i was wanting, but the money & home time sounds good.

Has anyone worked for MBM or known some one that has. I called the safety manager a couple months ago to see if they hire recent grads and he said that they do sometimes and could work with me call back when I get my cdl. They have a location that is less than 5 miles from my house that would be really convient.

    No not mbm ..
But us foodservice ( same concept they are competitors )

I did burger king accounts for USF.

Mbm does lots of Hardees accounts and some sonic etc

You will 2 wheel dolly off a ramp side and rear into resturants back breaking work your knees will suffer I am only 32 and had to have a knee rebilt after 5 yrs of it

Example bag in the box coke (all resturants have it) u deliver it is 55 pounds per box u get 9 or 10 on a dolly so up to 500 pounds down a ramp stay away from the edges or u will dump it and damage it and have to put back on truck and explain why and then company will have to special deliver product ( not good)
Wear and tear on body is rough ... Not a long term job unless u get a dedicated (local) account which the trailer goes out 30 percent loaded these are the 20 year guys that retire three the trenches is where u will be ...
    Probally hardees .....

    Positive :

    Set scheldule
    Good benefits

    Neg
Mostly slip seat unless changed in past 5 yrs
    Finger print every box
    On time and piece pay

    Hope it helps

I actually got to talk to a mbm driver today, I seen him pulling up to a red lobster near my current work. And I was like what the hell let me see if he will talk to me. He said that it was a good company to work for and that he has been there for 7 years.

i ve been with them around 5 months now. so far the work has been fairly steady. the money is some of the best ive ever made. the work is definetly the hardest ive ever done. in exchange for the hard work i get a good check, and dont have to sit waiting somewhere 2-3 days for a load. i run extra board , usuay 2-3 day trips. then home 1-2 days.

That doesnt sound too bad. My wifes biggest concern was me being away for week of more at a time but 2 to 3 days wouldnt be bad.

Looking at MBM Food Distribution Company

I am looking at MBM Food Distibutors trucking company. They seem to be pretty large and pay well. Does anyone have any inside information on their trucking jobs specifically in the Georgia area? How are the loads and the days away from home? There seems to be a high turnover, but not too sure. Please give any feedback before I decide to move the family to a new state.
