I applied at a company and recieved a usis report in the mail, it came back aok how long do they go back on their backround searches. the reason I am asking is over 15yrs ago I made a mistake but it was set aside.Another company I spoke to said they use usis and it was a lifetime check, does usis have different lenghts of backround checks or are they all the same standard? I don't want to make a commitment and get there just to be sent home. Thanks!

I believe its either 7 or 10 years. Now felonies and serious criminal driving(dwi), never go away but I could be wrong. Texas for instances, a dwi does not go away. You can pull a long form of your mvr and it will be there. It could have been 20yrs ago.

Its possible. The best way to find out is to pull your USIS report. Its a consumer report and its free once a year for the consumer.Write to them and request it. I have included the website with the information you need. Hope this helps you.........
