Morning everyone. I would like to know if anyone has any info about Link America, could not find anything, I guess their name makes the search virtually impossible. I would appreciate any info you may have.

We are at Henderson, out of Salem, IL, and while we are busy, it is not a fit for us, mainly because of having to run Con-Way freight all the time, which is too much hustling for my taste, and never mind the fact that they fired my husband the day after he had surgery in 2006 and he was dead a month later, no doubt contributed to, by the stress of having no money, no insurance, no job, no food, bills late, etc. I hate them with a passion and don't want to deal with them. And if it means changing jobs, I will.

I am running team now, still have my dog, and they seem ok. More hometime, real insurance instead of the minor medical we have here, which they didn't mention while talking to them. Well.....let me have it, the good, the bad and the ugly, thanks

I was with a carrier, Mike Brooks Inc. of Knoxville, IA, that they bought out last spring. They really hacked the driver pay, benefits, 401K, etc. I saw the writing on the wall and bailed out before the buyout. I have stayed in touch with many of the drivers that stayed on board. The runs really haven't changed much and neither has the equipment. There have been a number of the "old hands" that decided to leave since the buyout, and those that left are doing better than if they would have stayed. Not sure if that means that Link America is necessarily a bad outfit, but it does mean that a driver might do better looking elsewhere.
