Forgive me if this ends up a duplicate but I could not find out any information on this agency. Even on the net. It sounds like what it says, an agency that represents drivers to find a good fit and they are offering the moon! I found with them through a jobs search engine and the stuff they offer are....$1,000 sign-on, $1,000/week home every 15 days for 3 or 4. Dedicated..take tractor home. Gosh! Any clues if this is for real? I am applying , by the way, just to find out.
Does anyone know about this apparent agency...like a workforce employment agency I guess. I got an application via email from them said to fill out and Fax. I posted in another p0lace...still trying to figure my way around in here. This Emcee Driver Personnel is offering the moon. My other post is in response to the thread asking what do company drivers really want. I hate to repeat myself...I'm just tryin to find the right place to post this question firstLast edited by Baack; 07.09.2009 at 07.40 PM.

emcee drivers personnel
I found them through a Jobs search engine. and they are listed on the Missouri Career Center jobs posting. But when I clicked on the link I left the Career Center site and I got a response. All the forms are legit for driving...it sounds like its set up like a temp agency. I'm beginning to think its a cover for JB Hunt recruiting

Sounds phishy 2 me!
If I were u, I would not send them any personal info until it can be confirmed that they are indeed a legit employer!!! There is a new scam going around, u fill out a standard job app., with all the usual forms and they use the "app." to steal your identity. Be sure that they are a real employer b4 u send them any info. If they cant or wont, something aint right.

They're recruiting companies out there that recruit for a lot of trucking companies. All the hoopla is generalized, such as sign on bonus, home time, benefits. They get a fee for each app sent in, then a bigger fee if the applicant is hired. This could be one of those operations.

Wow...what some people won't hink of next...yes I figured that it was possible that it was a recruiting company....but....the main page that I fill out states to send via FAX only to a particular number, and goes on to state that DO NOT fax it to the number listed on where it came from. All I could find in reference to the agency itself looking for blogs or news, and there was nothing,...except one blog posted stating that this company was so great and the recruiter never lied and time fram was couple weeks before he heard anything but now he would never leave and all this smoke.....AND THE GUY WHO POSTED THE BLOG is the same guy that is doing the recuiting! LOL. So basically he's talkin about himself! somethin fishy me thinks!

I just used them about a month ago. It is a real agency. A guy named Mike C called me from a mobile phone after about 2 days after I faxed my application back. It took a month but they got me hired on with Sharkey Transportation Inc out of Quincy Ill. That was my first thought was that it was another scam from the good ole JB Hunt clan. They said they hire for 26 companies but he had me in mind for Sharkey. I have tried to get on with them before, on my own, but no one would give me the time of day. This guy did a phone interview with me and said it would take 48hrs to get me approved. I got into orientation in Quincy the next Monday. I had to take a bus and stay in a crappy hotel, but I gotta say this is the best job I have ever had. I plan on retiring here.

I appreciate you shortcut. I was wondering what your home is? I'm in Strafford, MO. And the other question is..what was pre employment physical like? I can't lift 60 lbs! It never used to be that way...25 lbs was all I had to do before. Sharkey is dry box right? I know a lot of companies had drivers get hurt and stuff so they do that 60 lb thing per DOT. And some places call it Fit-For-Work. For hand unload or driver assist. But I'm out on that.

The physical was simple as can be. You have to lift 50 lbs chest high. The doctor just rushed us through it like he didnt even care. There were only 4 of us at orientation. I pull reefer and dry van on my route. Its about 70% drop and hook (7 out of 10 loads) All of the freight is no touch. My route is about 2600 miles a week at .35 cpm. I gross about 900 to 1000 a week. I get to take my truck home. I get home about 9 pm friday and leave out about 4 am on Monday. I park at Freightliner in Joplin. Like I said its the right job for me I will probably retire here.
