D&T.....don't know much more than they're buying a LOT of company trucks and trailers right now.
Stay away from Flex Frac........that's pretty widely known if you read all this.

I was hired no experience for bulk and it took the guy 1 day to train me then threw me to the wolves!
It took a few loads to learn how to unclog a line without unhooking it just changing a few valves on the system and why it's not a good idea to just shut off the air but gradually shut it down as you release the pressure to not clog the bottom air lines. and that top air is dumb to use once pressure is built up and even not then just use bottom all the time. Or that running the enging above what the manufactures recommend while running your pump is not a good thing as in listening to a driver throw a valve sitting next to me! Wasn't a pretty picture
I'm sure the boss will give you the basics and the rest is up to you to learn by the age old tried and true method of asking another driver questions! It won't be long before you will be answering those same questions!
Oh, that pressure gauge is your friend! Don't ignore it!
That rubber mallet and wrenches, rags, good fitting gloves, a gallon of water your ear protection and a GOOD pair of riding glasses are nice things to have in the tool box!
Riding glasses like my Wileys like what are used on firing ranges and over seas in the sand box with the shatter proof lenses (can be bought in your prescription) and the face seal that keeps dust out of the eyes are fantictic to have. A little expensive but if you ride, then hey, you got them and tax deducted them too! Plus they look cool! LOL. -
You can have your pick of them too, as many as you can afford, just need your check book. The ethics and loyalty has to be bought, unfortunate but true. -
Stay far away from GILA, bouncing paychecks, low miles, they scrimp and and dont pay the wait time they owe drivers. their company trucks are constantly broken. they treat employees like equipment. and they bad mouth their own people. also, they have three cherry pickers and the rest get the left overs.

Frac sand hauling, I highly recomend avoiding D&T trucking in Aledo / Weatherford Texas , the dispatch is very messed up and you will be lucky to make descent money with them because of it , I have talked with many other drivers complaining about them also

Tuthill is the best blower to get they have double oil bath and work really good, Gardner Denvers have an oil bath and grease on the other side -
what do you really know about D&T? who do you work for? I got a app in at d&t. Who can you recommend? Will have trailer Oct 17th.
thanks -
I'm wondering if anyone can give me some info. on Sylvester Services? Looks like they sub. through Vertex. I have a offer to haul frac sand with them and I have talked to a couple of the drivers on site...they seem to be doing well and paying the drivers. I have my own truck with a new blower installed. I'm going to start pulling for them next week but I sure would like more info. about them.

QUESTION FOR ANYONE WHO CAN ANSWER TRUTHFULLY. Here is the senrio: I am currently working for a trucking company over the road. I just started, been out of school for about three months. I still continue to look for better jobs in my spare/down time. I came across an ad on Craiglist, and it is a position requiring you to have a CDL w/endorsements, but no experience required (10% driving). It is in the oil field of course dealing with frac, and things. I have applied and got accepted. I believe they are currently hiring out of Woodward, OK and Odessa, TX. Does ANYONE no ANYTHING about either location???? And, my last question is, if so, is there a way to move up into a less hands-on labor position to more of a driving/hauling/transporting position??
Thanx for ANY possible feed back n advance.
