This Texas thing looks interesting. In my head I'm weighing the pros and cons of Texas oilfield work vs nd. I understand in nd cell drivers are $20 plus an hour. What is it in Texas? I should also add 11 years driving experience every endorcement except hazmat which I will get again and only ticket I have is a log book ticket.
Need work? South Texas Oilfield hiring like crazy!

Realistically, what kind of money could someone make that has 1 yr otr but no tanker exp. Also a list of companies that would hire someone with no exp in tanker.

Sunoco any good? I am having a hard time understanding their pay system (houlry+miles+barrels) any info on that?
-
No hourly pay. You get paid by the barrels hauled and mileage. Only hourly rate you get is for mechanical failure, safety meetings, or management approved time

@loudhornsrule I tried to PM you but too fresh here on this forum... It won't let me. Any other way to contact ya?

Also see my other post about Dragon........FYI...... -
FYI: Dragon Industries, a premiere mfg. of frac tanks and vacuum trailers laid off 84 from their Laporte Texas facility yesterday. It was a mixed crowd of trades too, welders, blasters, painters etc.
IMO these are core folks needed to produce a product. No folks, no / less product to sell / sold. One can only wonder what Dragon knows that prompted this action.
I thought oilfield was booming ! WTF!

Dont sound good, maybe one should wait a few before making a big move.

Challupa you are right and wrong. They did sell, but we are still called Sunoco. Thats what my check says. We were informed 3 months ago about the buyout, but that was the last thing we ever heard. NOTHING at all has changed.
