Sorry to hear you were unable to find a decent company to haul oil for. I am currently looking for a company to lease my tanker and trucks on with. I have a lot of over the road experience but hauling oil is very different.
Any tips from readers of what outfits might be accepting applications. No I have put in applications. I need a company ready to put owner operators to work and that will not jerk me around with pay.

I know this is late in the game but if you have not already done so water is your best bet to start with then go to crude they dont wont new drivers hauling crude
or at least drivers with no tankers back ground so what did happen are you hauling water or crude and who for -
Thanks! I looked for any oilfield trucking position in ND but noone was interested in my 6 month tanker driving experience.
In a few weeks I will try my luck in Texas. -
Well I can talk to a company that I know up there looking for water truck drivers if you are interested
-
Sure. I would greatly appreciate it.
As I said I have 6 months tanker experience with a major trucking company and have driven 50000+ miles OTR during that time. The limited experience has been my stumbling block. Insurance would not cover me. Everything else is fine - driving record, criminal record etc.

Hey Cowgal up in North Dakota,
Have you heard of Enterprise Crude Oil, LLC up there? I'm wondering if they are having problems in ND and Texas and wherever else they are located. Just wondering if you have heard anything.
Thank you.

I just arived in the Midland-Odessa TX area. Same question:
Any water (or oil) hauling companies in the area willing to hire a tanker-yanker with only 7 months OTR experience? -
Petreza,
Sorry, I wish we could help you out. Our insurance company requires 2 years CDL and 1 year oil-field experience. If I hear of any water-hauling companies, I will let you know. -
my sense of this is to concentrate on hotshot services that have both straight truck and semi
they tend to be more flexible on class a requirements, next would be construction services for the pads and roads, electric power to the man camps and so on, again more about general background than just exp in big truck, there is jobs waiting in minot and devils lake for just that scenario, you left awful fast dude, know another company right now that starts at 23$ hrly running a super vac, intense labor and loud!
the only people out here seen not making it if clean background are completely out of shape and shouldnt be here anyways, this is the rugged west in all its blandness, bizarre cold extremes...etc...
wish yah a better sense of direction in texas
