Thanks for the info. I may have to talk to management about the 80 hr limit. Have they mentioned anything about going back to san Angelo for truck driver training. I'm going the week after next.

no she has quit . the trainer in the truck with her when she flipped was jason who is now the rig supervisor. pay is hourly but we go by tickets most jobs take 2 -21/2 hrs . some 3 hrs. at sonora none of the guys have been to san angelo training . all training is on the job full hours. .. so we can learn the leases . i wont be going either. i will stay here . they want drivers to hit the road as soon as they can.
the sonora yard looks bigger and more organized than ozona. when i went to apply at ozona . the place was messy and the secretary was teliing me to apply online because they only take apps online. i told her i know otherwise and want an interview .. thats when she told me to wait and will get my app . the big boss told me he wait for my app to be pulled out and i have to wait for hr guy . when hr guy came in the boss was in a meeting . so i just left and went to sonora. at sonora . i told them i put app online. they told me they dont even look online. asked me to fill paper app . took interviews on the spot and drug test and set up physicals. i see sonora is bigger and better run than ozona. -
I think Jason brother was working for the Sonora yard. The Sonora yard is a nicer yard then Ozona yard. I been in the Ozona office when a truck supervisor told the driver don't put nothing down that is wrong with the truck on his reports, just tell him about it.There something wrong with management there. Some of these supervisor really don't need to piss off the drivers, since a driver can go down the street and get a better paying job.I did go to the Sonora yard to fill out a application, for the Iraan yard. They use not have application online. But I guess they weren't getting enough people applying in person. Why didn't you apply at the Iraan yard?I know there is Indian creek trucking in Sonora that pays over $20hr they move oilfield equipment and the there is Weatherford there to.BJ hughes in Eldorado pays but they will work you to death. After 3 months in the travel trailer,if you don't find a place to live in Sonora, you might want to go to Eldorado about 20 miles away,to see about living there. There is apartments there on HWY 190 E,that is renting.

i wanted to go to crane and iraan but decided against it . i turned back once i got off the exit and drove thru nothing for a few miles. did not want to be in the middle of nowhere . i was worried my truck will break down , just stayed on i-10 to be safe so got to ozona/sonora. the indian creek place people got their paychecks bouncing because the whole company assets were frozen , seems the owner along with his workers and supervisors was stealing crude from the leases. the company is under investigation. at sonora they do not offer any housing i have my own trailer and paying my rent .

So!! do you still like working for Nabors? Iraan yard is only a few miles off of I-10.If I ever go back to Nabors I would go to the Iraan yard, but would buy my own travel trailer. The City of Iraan has real nice RV parks.Sheffield have some so so RV sites.Have you ever have a chance to go to Iraan yet?I'm glad I didn't try go to work for Indian creek. If you can put a year in Nabors you can go for bigger money, like www.alanritchey.com they pay something like $20hr and they will pay for your RV spot, they have a yard in Rankin about 30 miles from Iraan, and another yard in Big Lake.www.alanritchey.com
