As the title suggests, I'm wondering if there are any companies that hire female drivers in the TX oilfields... I have a CDL-A, tanker, dbl/trpl, hazmat, and a TWIC with a little over a year of OTR experience (no tanker exp though)...
What are the chances that there are companies willing to hire a female driver?

They can't not hire you because you're a woman. Well, unless you just have physical attributes that would interfere.MissSapphire Thanks this. -
I'm speaking primarily of the TX oilfields, because being a female at a "man camp" in ND sounds like a contradiction in and of itself, nor do I wanna deal with the harsh winters... I already deal with harsh winters (living in Michigan), and the whole point of going to TX would be to get away from ol' man winter... -
I've been in some pretty scary places in Texas. I have said before, that to me, Laredo is the scariest place in America on a Sunday afternoon sitting alone on Eagle Pass. Even guys would have second thoughts about sitting there very long.
I think you should apply if it APPEALS to you and the pay is ok. -

I think he means that it's rough in some places and being female would make you a target for men that aren't very nice to women. So stay away from the border. I know Sunoco hires women with little to no experience and they will train you. I know several women hauling crude oil. One I would put up against anyone hauling and she would out work them 9 out of 10 times.
NDBADLANDS, diamondz and fr8te_sh8ker Thank this. -

Nabors will hire you. We have 2 vacuum truck drivers who are are female and actually train new employees. They have a good reputation for being good at their job. I'm just on my 1st week working here.
