I haven't heard or seen any complaints really either, however it's not the type of driving or experience I was looking for after talking to a guy there again today. Going to head to ND for a few days and see how it goes.

I too would like any info on Brady. I attended the Mar. 13 job fair in Williston to specifically visit Power Fuels/ Nuverra.
But the recruiters who impressed me the MOST was from Brady Trucking. I visited there yard and was invited to apply for a driver position. Brady has a very nice facility in Williston.

Since I'm not a job bouncer I'm caught between which company to pick. With Brady you live in a truck and with PowerFuels you pay rent in one of their employee housing.

    Any thoughts?

I work for power fuels now and I'm extremely happy I chose them every one works as a team here. The pay is good and the apts. Are brand new and spacious. The equipment is good also...just my opinion though.

I live in a truck and every month I love the extra money I can keep instead of paying rent and utilities for a place ill barely stay in

if you are in the oilfield to work as many hours as you can and your life is the oilfield find a job where you can stay in the truck

if you want 12 hour shifts and in a bedroom every night with a few days off then get an apartment or house

either path has it's merits. The main issue I look at is the oilfield is booming and the boom could last a year or 20 years. There are strong arguments for both. The winner of the debate right now is the boom is long term and all estimates are talking about this lasting till 2020 and as far as 2030. That is very possible with current worldwide demand for oil.

My concern is the worldwide economy. The crash of 2008 killed the oilfield. That could very well happen again in 2016 . The causes are up for debate and this isn't the place for that debate.

Russia's actions in the Ukraine is a concern but not for the negative. If we end up in war with russia the oil boom will turn into a mega boom. Every single rig in the country will come out of moth balls and the boom of 2000 will look like peanuts.

Those are the two situations I look at to try to guess what kind of job to get. Stay in the truck or get housing.

Nuverra, also known by Power Fuels in North Dakota. Check out their website.

stryker, didn't you have some experience driving some type of truck in the army? IF a newbie had some type of off road experience and can back up well I could maybe see how you could get hired. It has been my impression that a Newbie with no experience at all will get his job app thrown in the trash!
If I am wrong please correct me. I hope I AM WRONG.. I am very happy for you !! That job you have can really change your financials if you work hard and save your money!! GOOD LUCK..

Yes I did, however, it was over 10 years ago and actually another buddy from my CDL class also just got hired. I will say that face time and follow up is important for almost all of the companies out here, especially for a newbie.
