I'm not saying they don't work for pushing a light product like cement out of a trailer but they won't work for a heavy grain like frac sand. The contamination apart was already covered by big duker but I'll add that they are worried about the contamination of mixing it with their chemicals as well. The oil companies have a certain standard that they expect a well to produce at and anything below that is blamed on the frac whether it's their fault or not so I wouldn't want to #### up a 5 million dollar frac over a five thousand dollar blower.

yeah I agree with heavyhaul... I wouldn't even be comfortable showing up to the gaurd shacks with a system like that on there.. I'd rather spend the money an do it right.. and I don't think I can leave the roper on and have a hot air blower also... I guess it depends on the pto

Nothing personal but it sounds like you might want to get some more education on being an owner operator. You can make more money for sure. But you can lose a ton as well and put yourself in financial doldrums for yrs to come. Best ones I ever worked for knew where to get anything anywhere at best price and quickly. Had all there equipment either memorized or on handheld device. Knew what engines, rear ends{not just ratio but mfg & model #}tires, fault codes, and much more. Just a thought.

If there's enough room on both sides of the frame you can run a pump and a blower. One runs on the. 8 bolt and one in the 6 bolt pto. I've got a couple trucks set up that way and they work fine but I have a need for both as I pull sine chem tanks as well as pnuematics.

iv never hauled sand but if i was looking to have both on a truck id set it up off a wet line pto rather than running two pto's. but just from a weight stand point alone i would not want two pumps on my truck unless i had a use for each pump. if you otherwise like the truck and its a good buy take the fluid pump off and sell it and put your blower on.

Wow, Didnt realize it was so taboo to have two systems on the same truck. Wish someone would have told me that years ago so I didnt loose all that money I didnt miss. Oh well, guess I better go out and order owner oparators for dummies. Maybe you were referring to the OP.
