I started on with Schlumberger cementing up here in ohio, and was loving the work.
Cdl was paid for by the company, okay wage, blah blah.
Long story short, Just got laid off a few days ago.
Anyone hiring out there? Willing to do anything from frac hand, work over rig, anything.
Love to work. Class A w/ tanker. Have Safeland and other certs.
I'm in Ohio, but possibly open to relocation as well
Thanks all,
Prayers are with all my fellow patch brothers and sisters.
Well we gave 'er a good run

Time for a little chillin', Collect unemployment for a little while before going back to work.

Rachi: I'm thinking the same thing. I just miss the work. I really enjoy working. that's why I haven't signed on to just drive for a company yet.

I was wondering about transferring as well, but I don't think I can with the fact that I never got my roll over paperwork completed before the hiring freeze.
so I'll be looking into open positions out of their yard as well.
Thanks for the heads up. I appreciate it. -
A lot of places are still hiring out here in the Midland/Odessa area in Texas. Water, Sand, Crude etc. Most of it is percentage, but some are W-2

As I speak...I'm sitting in horsehead now at their yard.......alot of equipment is parked...jus unloaded cement so they are working somewhere -
Things have slowed way down every were in the sand biz.
As of today I spoke to guys in PA and they are dead as a door nail, guys in TX said the same thing...and then one guy in New mexico called me asking if its worth it to come back to nd....and we are barley getting work in ND. Our HR lady can't keep up with the apps we have been hit with and our guy who gets us work said he is getting under bid every were he turns. One company said they will take a job and waive all demerge fees just to get in the door.
If you have unemployment, take it and enjoy the time off. Supposedly it will pick up like gangbusters this summer.
One this is for sure, as fast as it slowed down it will pick back up. Before thanksgiving we were killing them. So its only been 4 months. Give it another 4 and I hope it turns around.jfkreload3d Thanks this.
