Today my a/c stopped blowing cold all together. I got out and checked to see if the compressor was running. It was cycling on and off like it was low on refridgerant, so I added some that I had with me. The compressor now cycles on and off rapidly and expels refrigerant. I'm assuming there is a blockage causing the pressure to build. Perhaps the orfice tube?

    Things to add:

    • New compressor (professionally installed less than 1 year ago due to clutch death)

    Visual Aids:

    Thanks in advance.

It was put on at a Caterpillar dealer. I'm looking back through my invoices to find the bill. It SHOULD be warrantied still if it is indeed a compressor fault.

    baha Thanks this.
