I have a chattering noise coming from the driver side. I can't seem to pin it down, almost sounds like the linkage. It's a 3406e, New clutch 20k ago, New transmission 10k, the clutch linkage ends were replaced when transmission done. That spring is still in good shape also. It seems to make the noise at about 1500 rpms. in all gears and really noticeable under a harder pull. Which is all the dam time running West Virginia. It kind of drive's me crazy. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Dave.
98 379 Chatter for what sounds like clutch linkage.

is the clutch brake adjusted properly?
-
when they did the clutch did they replace the throw out bearing?
lmcclure1220 Thanks this. -
I took it to Pete and had it adjusted again to see if that was the case but really didn't make a difference. I can't remember if the replaced the throw out bearing or not. I will look at the paperwork.

Ya it was all replaced at that time. Clutch, throw out, and brake.

Throw out bearing comes on the pressure plate. They are a snake to change. We have a 99 that was chattering pretty good turned out to be the radiator support rods vibrating under a pull. Bushing kits took care of it. Not saying that's it but may be worth a look.

I will be sure to check them out. Thank you wore out.
