Im thinking of getting this 2012 peterbilt with apu and cummins isx engine at 560k miles. Good or bad idea? Did a rigdig and will do dyno, oil samples and computer output.

What size sleeper,trans. does it have gauge package, inter. cloth or plastic, carpet or rubber floor covering, some trucks were O/O spec. others plain fleet spec. when you trade up after useing, truck spec. will change the $$ you get for trade/in.

price is about average resale,,whole sale is about $50K at auctions,, a friend just bought one like it 2012 with 360,000 miles for $73K

Is $64k too much for 560k mile truck? It is a peterbilt but not sure about this model 587.
BTW: I'm going to trade in with a 2007 international 9200i at 780k miles. Not sure how much more miles I can put it on the current truck.Last edited: Mar 20, 2015

fwiw...we just got our 2012 587 with 290k miles for $68k. Cummins ISX/eaton 13. It's a decent truck, drives nice.
