I pull a frameless end dump, first rule of thumb, make sure the load is centered in the trailer. A few years back in the sticks outside of Selma AL I was at a quarry I’d been to numerous times, it was late in the afternoon and I could tell from the first bucket this guy dropped in my trailer, it was all on the passenger side, I hopped out and tried to get his attention and he ignored me, second bucket same deal, usually a half a bucket more gets me to the desired 23.5 tons, low and behold, on the passenger side. He proceeds to blow the horn to signal “I’m good”, yeah right! I finally get his attention and inform him of his mistake, to which he gets belligerent to a point and tries to paint me as the problem. I have a man door on the front of the trailer, I said “take a look for yourself”, he decided to climb the ladder on the back and see for himself the BS job he did of loading. Not willing to admit his mistakes, he asked “what do you want me to do”, I said “load it again”. With a bewildered look on his face, I proceeded to swing a U’ey, stand my trailer up with the assistance of backing up in some rock to level me out, dumped it out, and made him do just that, load me again!

Moral of the story, not enough people do their job right, a lot of folks want to fuss and fight, I knew the place I was delivering to had concrete bins so there was no way to get creative and level the trailer up, being in the quarry I could get creative and use the piles to my advantage and get leveled up, I have to admit there was a sweet level of satisfaction when he had to load it again, and wouldn’t you know it was right down the center on round 2 Frameless dumps are nothing to take lightly. My only experience with dump trailers consists of steel bodies with a frame and those were bad enough.

I turned one them over back in the late 90's it looked slow motion until it slammed the truck over on it's side. I was out of work for a week to recover. Not a fun ride to take.

Sitting at the Southwest terminal waiting to board. Will be landing at 3:30. Did a Humboldt/Newbern Olive Branch then back to Humboldt yesterday. Got back at 11pm, then bobtailed the 175 miles to the Murfreesboro hub where the truck will stay until I get back in 10 days and got parked at 2am. Got up at 0700, showered, buttoned the truck up and Paco my Uber driver picked me up at 0900 for the ride to the airport. Will be having a cold one with my wife and 2 maniacs about 4:30.

Y'all should try Shiner Bock, brewed in the small town of Shiner, Tx. A few dollars cheaper than Corona or Modelo and much better in my opinion.
