Proud American trucker is a scam

I worked for proud American trucker for three weeks and they never paid me. The last day I worked for them the truck would not start so they came down to fix it told me to go inside to the customer and check in. Meanwhile, they took off with a truck and my stuff in it. so when you see them posting on Facebook or anywhere else realize it is a scam and you will never get paid. And if they can get away with it, they will steal your stuff along with it.

 

They claim to be out of Indiana but they’re actually out of Chicago. They give you the choice to be W-2 or 1099. On Sunday I could not start the truck so I requested a mechanic. Monday afternoon at 3 PM they showed up and told me to go inside and check in and when I came out, the truck would probably be running and I could get loaded. When I came back out, I saw them driving away in the truck, and they never came back. And then they blocked me on all their forums and ghosted me.

 

No. Everything was going great. My load was supposed to bring me home to get the rest of my things so I could spend more time on the road before going home. There is another review on google maps posted the Monday before where the driver said the company told him they could not pay him because they were going bankrupt. Since then, they seem to have removed their company off of google maps.

 

I was able to get my stuff back. But they left it at a nearby truckstop. I had to walk 40 minutes in the cold wind of Chicago to get it back. But yeah, they stranded me there. I’m working with my local wage commission to get the money they owe me. Over $6000

 

They texted me and told me where they left it. They ghosted me after that.
