Ah yeah, that's rough. I don't mind the beeping much on these Volvos cause I know the safety department is realistic and knows that a 6 second gap in a governed truck just isn't always realistic lol. I could only imagine how brutal it'd be passing Prime in Nebraska if you had to start from an actual 6 seconds back.

And I've always been under the opinion that driver facing cameras should only be used as a probationary thing. I believe Crete does it where drivers with marks on their record might get a shot, but they have to deal with the camera for a while.

I guess their method of doing things does make a good starter company for someone though. Forces people to keep a clean record while they get experience under their belt

Those US-67 ramps are luxury living lol. Nice and quiet and Arkansas police never bothered me on a ramp. Better than a rest area where you have to worry about losing a hood mirror

I have a split in my future as well -- 7 hours tonight in Blacksburg and then no clue where the other 3 is gonna happen tomorrow.

Splits mean no wasted time though, so that's a win for us

Headed to Sumter, SC to pick up a frozen load headed to Holts Summit. Doesn't deliver til Monday, so I assume I'll be dropping it tomorrow. Have 3 hours and 15 minutes until pickup once my split is up and a 2.5 hour drive and in need of a washout since those return totes were leaking a little bit of hazmat chemicals. Should be a stressful few hours lol, but we'll see how it shakes out.

Edit: Made the 13:00 appointment at 13:02. I'll chalk it up as a win.

I got got tonight in the Knoxville Flying J. About as minor as it gets though for a front end backing incident and guy was friendly, so just a little hiccup. Called the after hours line and they just said get info and pictures and send them in, in the morning.

Felt bad for the guy that he's gotta go through all that headache over a scratch and a broken trim piece, but oh well. 20240328_233403.jpg 20240328_233101.jpg

That US 67 ramp was lovely. That Walmart in Searcy, not so much. I sat there for almost 3 hours and it was 5 pallets of Duke's Mayo. That's all was on the trailer. I just knew it woul d take no time. I shutter to think what amount of time it would have taken if it were a full trailer. I deadheaded to Pepper Source in Van Buren to pick up for Sauer Monday morning. I'm pigeon holed to hauling condiments lol. I am resetting in Murfreesboro to spend time with the babies and then I'll finish off the run tomorrow.

I wonder if they're planning on dropping one of their other accounts or cutting back on one at least. We stayed pretty busy before and PFS is shipping a ton
