I haven't followed your entire story, but do all these companies that have turned you down know you are on disability? Are you telling them? Could they find out on their own? If so, is it possible that is what is stopping them from hiring you, and not your driving record?

That’s a very good question, Kyle. I’d like to know that for sure if that’s the case because I think total said that my high functioning autism was a turn off.

I have some interesting news for you guys: there are days I fear my cancer might come back, which is appendix, and there are days that I don’t fear it. I feel blessed to have a very good surgeon and he continually takes care of me. Even his colleague that taught him told me his door is always open for me. After talking it over with my family and my good friend, It’s best for me to main on disability until I know for sure that I can go about my life without having to worry about my cancer.

I want to apologize to the mods and the admin here and would like to add that I will never give up pursuing my dream. I have over 600 photos of trucks on my social media account. So I want to think everybody that contributed to this thread and hope that the One trucking company I wrote about will inspire someone to contact them.

my life is so hard right now and I’m pretty sure people who have lost family members very slowly can relate to what I’m going through. I’m not asking for sympathy. I’m just letting you know that there are days that I cry and have breakdowns like I had a breakdown in the supermarket today.

The customer service manager is a very good acquaintance of mine and he knew what was going on and comforted me. Also, if any of you guys deliver to Costco in Viera, please send me a private message because I would love to meet some members from here. If any of you guys are in Melbourne Florida or close to Titusville. Send me a private message.

Unless everyone on board is always properly bound & gagged -- a job hauling people around will suck.

You won't like it at all.

That's why I never did the passenger endorsement -- or recommend it.

People who get into trucking do so partly to get away from the rest of the world -- yet still earn an honest living (at least, that's what I did).

Spoke to Taz trucking and the insurance company rejected their student training program. Called them up on a whim because I had questions regarding the company. He said Schneider would be my best bet.

I plan on putting together a list of companies that I am going to be looking at next May in 2025. I talked to my friend and it seems we both have ambitions as far as careers go. I did get gainfully employed at of all places, McDonald’s where I will be doing Customer Service. It looks like since that’s what I’ve been doing for the past 20 years. Thankfully, they are working around my schedule.

i’m not giving up. As something comes up and the company wants to hire me for CDO work then I’m open to it. As far as I know, it will be about a couple months before I get my CDL back but at least that’s a start.

201 and Kyle G. Thank this.

Well, "customer service" as in, "here's your burger, sir", or some corporate customer service job evaluating customers for 6 figures? I fear the former. Nothing wrong with Macs, but, I and possibly others here, feel you may be dragging your feet. Talk of trucking, then ultimately working at Macs. Now is absolutely the best time for a trucking job, the fact you went this far and stopped, well, I feel you should just go for it. ;)
