I have no roll off experience. Been driving tankers for 7 years, mostly OTR. No worries though. I think I'm gonna stick with tankers.

    Hello Wolf,

I know what I'm getting ready to suggest doesn't have the best reputation, but JBHunt is looking for dedicated drivers to pull reefers out of the chicken plant in Harbeson, DE and if I'm correct they will have you home every weekend. You can get more info from them directly. I think also Distech is looking for tanker drivers in Delaware. I'm not sure how far that would be from Pocomoke City. Perdue also has big plants in that area, maybe want to look into work with them. I would avoid roll offs with the big trash companies, up here in Baltimore the trucks I see them driving around in look like they have been rode hard and put away wet.

Thanks man, but I'm staying put. I pretty much run however I want and take as many days off as I want. And I like my boss. No way I'm pulling refers. My waste management idea has been trashed! The only chicken gig I might consider is hauling feed

I'm in the septic industry, we have installed, designed, ect, but now focus on the service work (hauling and pumping of grease, winery waste & septic.)

We recently purchased a tanker (yr ago) and haven't run it but for storage capacity. What is the industry average for hauling liquid waste? Not per job, but what should companies be charging - per gallon rates, time & material rates ect?

New to the tanker idea and curious what we should get everytime the truck leaves the shop?

    Any help,

    Thanks

I'm not sure if it's the same for CA, but when I interviewed last week for both the South Valley(Albuquerque) and Grants roll-off positions, starting pay was $18/hour, with 40-45/hour work weeks.(alright with me since the 12+ shifts I've been doing the past, 4 years have left me whooped.)
Still waiting for a call-back from them, they told me I'd get an answer by Monday.

    Joe22 Thanks this.

Moreno Valley is Teamsters so you should do quite a bit better. I am looking at that city myself if my current connections don't pay off.

    Joe22 Thanks this.

Well, ABQ roll-off was a bust for me.
Put in an app for the Grants position again to see if that will bear any fruit.
